Had to drill out the 2 small alignment holes. The pegs on the round holder would not go thru them. But no problem. Love the product and have ordered another one for a different radio.

Light passes through it just like the original . The only issue is the alignment holes, they were slightly too small and had to be filed so that it could be re-assembled.
