Radio Daze-Cloth Covered Hookup Wire

We now offer custom manufactured 600 volt, cloth covered stranded and solid wire in both #20 and #18 gauges as well as our non-rated #20 gauge wire in an assortment of 8 COLORS. This wire has a lacquered cotton braid and is an ideal replacement for vintage radio wiring or to give a classic look to new projects. The cotton braid is woven over PVC insulated tinned copper wire. The 600 volt/105 degree rated cloth covered wire is based on wire that conforms to standard UL-1015.

Our cloth covered wire is superior to that sold by other suppliers. We now have the 600 volt rated wire that so many of you requested as well as our original non-rated wire. The lacquer treatment of the cloth braid also means that the braid is bonded to the inner PVC jacket so that it won't fray or slide back like the untreated cloth covered wire sold by other suppliers. The lacquer treatment also makes the cotton braid less apt to snag on all those sharp objects under the chassis.

Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine Readers
The wire you should be ordering for your place card holders is our part number W6S0-20xxx where xxx is the color designator. This is our 20 Gauge SOLID 600 Volt Cloth Covered Wire which is displayed in the first chart down. We've had a number of readers mistakenly order the stranded wire which would not hold shape very well. The W6SO-20xxx wire is the wire suggested in the back of the magazine. Please note that we have a $10 minimum parts order requirement which cannot include the cost of shipping the order.
We did not have anything to do with the Martha Stewart card holder project other than supply the wire. Comments that we have received from customers who made the card holders were very positive but noted that the lengths of wire called for were not long enough. They recommended that customers almost double what they think it will take.
