MORGAN ANTENNA TUNER KIT

MORGAN ANTENNA TUNER KIT

"THE MORGAN ANTENNA TUNER KIT"
Alfred P. Morgan was a prolific early writer of books on the subjects of electricity, wireless telegraphy and radio.  This "Antenna Tuner" matches random wire antennas of fifty feet or longer to crystal sets and more complex radios over frequencies from approximately 0.5 to 30 Mhz.  By tuning your antenna to resonance, it will more efficiently transfer the energy from the received radio wave to your radio, allowing weaker stations to be more readily heard.  It can also help separate weaker stations from stronger or local ones.  It works very nicely with our radio kits, most antique radios and commercial communications receivers.  It can also be used with low power "QRP" amateur radio transmitters to match the transmitter's output impedance to an end-fed wire antenna.  Easy-to-understand instructions are designed for beginners, however the coil winding is for a bit more experienced builder.  Soldering is required.
