Elmer E. Bucher was an early radio author, mentor and engineer.  This kit is a very effective wave trap, notch filter, or "QRM Rejector" (QRM is radio operator jargon for man-made interference) and is connected in-series, between your antenna and your radio's antenna connector.  When it is tuned to an interfering A.M. station from 500-1700Khz., it will absorb most of the signal at that frequency and thereby allow you to hear the weak stations on either side of this frequency.  It works very well with crystal sets and one-tube radios, including our other kits, that are being "jammed" by a strong local A.M. station.  All parts, screws, wire and a pre-drilled clear pine baseboard are included.  Easy-to-understand instructions are designed for beginners, however the coil-winding is for a bit more experienced builder.  Soldering and the use of the Super Glue is required.
