"THE ARMSTRONG KIT"
This one-tube (3S4) radio kit is a powerful distillation of many circuits for one-tube sets that have appeared since Edwin Armstrong invented the regenerative circuit in 1912.  It covers the A.M. Broadcast Band from 550KHZ - 1700KHZ. The kit contains the tuning capacitor, in-circuit tested NOS 3S4 vacuum tube, tube socket, fahnestock clips, solder lugs, resistors, capacitors, regeneration potentiometer with switch, coil form, mounting brackets, stand-offs, screws, magnet wire, hook-up wire, knobs, battery holder for "A" batteries (2 "D" cells), battery clips for "B" batteries (5 "Nine-volt" batteries) and a ready-to-finish wood base.  It is easy to construct and the directions are very easy to understand and follow. Soldering is required. This set requires a high impedance magnetic headset. An outside antenna is necessary for optimum performance.
